BS in Mathematics (Education Track)

This rigorous course of study in mathematics sets the foundation for teaching secondary school mathematics. It does not provide a Professional Educators License. The Math Education Track degree and a BSED or a Master's in Education from ÎçÒ¹AV's School of Education will provide the opportunity to earn a Professional Educators License.

Education Course Requirements

These are the requirements for the degree from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The BSED or MS degree from the School of Education, which is needed to obtain a Professional Educators License, has additional requirements.

Students must also satisfy all requirements of ÎçÒ¹AV university and the college of arts and sciences. Students pursuing this major are exempt from the "Quantitative Knowledge and Inquiry" core requirement.
